TRAVEL DIARIES: A VERY SOCIAL EVENING

By  |

Once again I’m back in Dubai- for a short holiday to meet up with family and friends- as part of a much-needed post fashion week break.

What makes Dubai “Dubai” is the fact that there is always something new to do every time one goes there- either a new restaurant, a new place to hang-out, or a whole new island (not shocking if you consider it’s “Dubai” we’re talking about!).

This time around- we ended up at a restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel – The Marina Social.

Overlooking the beautiful marina waters The Marina Social is British Chef Jason Atherton’s first venture in Dubai. The view on the balcony is to die for- and if you like risotto- then you don’t want to miss this gem the next time you’re in town.

The best part is the highly recommended Feed Me Menu- where you are served a selection of four, six or eight courses depending on whether you have the Munchies, you’re Hungry, or Famished. It’s brilliant.

The Mediterranean-inspired tapas-style dishes are absolutely mouth watering with my favorite being the Risotto of cepes, truffle mascarpone and Parmesan and the Duck Leg Agnolotti -which is to die for.

The Marina Social is London-chic at its best- so when in the Dubai next, this is definitely not a place to miss.
